The adult matte maroon cap features internal and external fabric, a maroon mortarboard with a raised button at the center and an elastic band for flexible sizing.

This 9" by 9" mortarboard cap is a a traditional square academic graduation cap. The cap's seams are glued for tighter fabric and a sleek, high quality appearance. The cap has internal fabric, so it keeps its shape beautifully.

A maroon fabric with a matte finish covers the entire surface of the cap. The cap features a raised button on the top center of the cap to hold the tassels that are part of the graduation ritual. The raised button is round and maroon in cloth that matches the rest of the cap.

An elastic band at the base of the cap creates a comfortable fit for a range of adult sized heads. This band makes the cap easy to put on and secure enough to remain firmly in place.

The matte maroon cap was just right for our graduation. We didn’t want something that would appear pink or red in photos but wanted a true maroon color, and that’s what we got. The cap kept our silver tassels in place with a central button, and the contrast between the maroon and silver colors was lovely. (Posted on 2/2/12)

• My name is Gerald, this is my review. As part of my 365 project to review everything I use. This is review 73. The unboxing is not something I was able to see since I picked it up from the quad already in the package. It was a plastic wrapper with my name on it. The cap itself is ox-blood red. There is a tight cross-stitch pattern and button on the top of the mortarboard. True to the label, it does have an elastic band to keep the cap in place and is a one size fits all. I tried stretching it out but it stayed fairly well in place. (Posted on 10/31/11)
