The Matte Sky Blue Gown is a traditional full-length academic graduation gown. The color, matting, and stitching present a soft but focused appearance. The body is pleated to maximize freedom of movement and improved fit. The sleeves are full-length, also pleated at the shoulders, and present a formal and easy-to-maintain appearance. The neck and collar area is single-piece construction, allowing the gown to hang comfortably from the shoulders without bunching or bulging in the front or back. The full-length zipper runs down the front of the gown, and is camouflaged by seam flaps as well as pleats along the body. The gown is generally tapered by length, reducing any chance of bulky appearance or wear. Additionally, the collar and zipper are reinforced with a two-ply seam construction, enhancing durability and wear, while at the same time presenting sharp lines of contrast between gown and graduate.
